Tom Kelleher Consulting, Inc. is a small custom software development firm based in north-west New Jersey. We consult with our clients’ leaders to understand their specific business circumstances, problems, goals and opportunities – to help determine whether a custom software solution is the most appropriate next step.

 

Our founder, Tom Kelleher, has over 20 years experience developing corporate software applications – as well as a puzzling mix of experience in technical documentation, training and training development, CBT development, and corporate video production.

How We Work...

 

We ask a lot of questions. Every business is different, and the forces in play change from month to month. A top priority this month might be a distant back-burner issue next month. The “corporate moment” is constantly changing, and we know that any software we develop will need to hit the mark just the right way, at the right time, for the right personnel.
So we work hard to understand your corporate moment. We ask questions about the immediate issue at hand. We ask about your past experiences trying to resolve the issue. We ask about existing staff, their technical expertise, and your existing software investments. We ask about any upcoming goals and promises already made, that this initiative must support. We ask about the corporate culture, about workflows, about departmental divisions, and look for “old school/new school” schisms.

Every piece of software changes some work patterns, eliminates others, and sets some new ones in motion. Your new software should fit into your organization organically, altering only what it’s intended to alter. It should eliminate waste, complexity and turbulence without creating any new.
